Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical, hands-on role in ensuring that our properties and facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and appearance. This role requires a great attitude, general interest and aptitude in the trade(s), problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset toward preventative maintenance.
You will be responsible for completing a wide range of maintenance tasks across multiple properties, troubleshooting issues, coordinating with vendors and tenants, and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and professionally. This role requires independence, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to both routine and emergency situations.
Every day will present a mix of scheduled work orders, preventative maintenance tasks, and unexpected issues that require immediate attention. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, communicates clearly, and consistently delivers high-quality results.
Core Duties:
· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, systems, and building components
· Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues and implement effective solutions
· Execute preventative maintenance programs and remodels/unit turns
· Complete assigned work orders across multiple properties daily with detailed notes and updates
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
· Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and internal team members
· Coordinate with vendors as needed to complete specialized work
· Respond to emergency maintenance situations during on-call rotations
· Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards
· Assist with general property upkeep and other maintenance-related duties as assigned
Core Requirements:
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role is welcomed and may impact pay rate. We are also accepting entry level applicants wanting to learn.
· Strong problem-solving abilities, self-starter
· Experience with general repairs preferred
· General knowledge and experience with hand and power tools
· Ability to read, follow, and execute instructions and procedures
· Ability to work independently or on a team
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership and integrity
· Ability to efficiently manage time, prioritize tasks, and complete work independently
· Experience working with tenants and vendors is a plus
· Spanish language fluency is a plus
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
· Frequent physical activity including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended standing
· Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment as required
· Travel between multiple properties required
Schedule Expectations:
· Full-time position
· Monday through Friday, 8-5PM
· On-call rotation required (frequency may vary though typically around once per month)
· Occasional weekend work as needed
Compensation & Benefits:
· Hourly Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour entry-to-mid level, higher pay available for experienced applicants
