NetZero Insulation is a locally owned Colorado insulation contractor specializing in residential retrofit insulation and energy-efficiency upgrades. We are looking for an experienced, motivated Insulation Crew Lead to oversee daily field operations, lead installation crews, and ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to our quality standards.
Position Summary
The Insulation Crew Lead is responsible for managing a crew of insulation installers, coordinating daily jobsite activities, maintaining quality control, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This position is hands-on and requires both leadership skills and insulation installation experience.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise insulation installation crews on residential retrofit projects.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
Conduct daily jobsite planning and crew assignments.
Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and safety procedures.
Perform quality-control inspections before leaving each jobsite.
Communicate with homeowners professionally and courteously throughout the project.
Troubleshoot jobsite issues and coordinate solutions with management.
Ensure all equipment, tools, and vehicles are properly maintained and operated safely.
Maintain proper inventory levels on company trucks and communicate material needs.
Complete job documentation, photos, and required paperwork.
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
Represent the company professionally at all times.
Qualifications
Previous insulation installation experience required.
Crew leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong understanding of building science and energy-efficiency principles.
Ability to safely operate insulation blowing equipment and related tools.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to train and motivate team members.
Mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting experience.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawlspaces, and other confined areas.
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
BPI certification or building performance experience.
Experience with fiberglass, cellulose, air sealing, and insulation removal.
CDL or experience towing trailers (a plus, but not required).
OSHA safety training.
