A reputable and small environmental consulting firm, known for its diverse clientele, is seeking a full-time Environmental Technician. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-reliant, a problem solver, organized, reliable, and eager to build a career in environmental consulting.
This position involves conducting building inspections, collecting samples and data in the field, and performing air monitoring. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management, and organizational abilities are essential. Attention to detail and a positive attitude are necessary. Candidates must work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility when adapting to changing priorities and tasks. Duties Include:
• Asbestos, lead-based paint, radon, and mold sampling for environmental projects
• Preparing technical reports
• Professional communication with clients, government agencies, and coworkers
Requirements:
• A high school diploma or GED
• Enthusiasm to learn new skills and participate in training
• Must be reliable and detail-oriented
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office - including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Must have good communication and writing skills
• Most of our projects are within the Denver Metro Area and during regular business hours
Previous Skills a Plus:
• Construction and building system knowledge
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification
• Field sampling and data collection
• Certified Asbestos Air Monitoring Specialist
• NIOSH 582 Certified
• Certified Asbestos Building Inspector
• Certified Lead-Based Paint Inspector
