Bonaventure of Castle Rock is seeking an experienced, self-driven Maintenance Technician to join our team. Bonaventure of Castle Rock is a premier Retirement, Assisted Living and Memory Care community providing exceptional service and care to seniors and their families. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician who is passionate about serving seniors and will deliver on our promise to provide our residents with the clean, beautiful and safe “Retirement Perfected” community they deserve. The ideal candidate will posses a positive ‘yes I can’ attitude and isn’t stopped by barriers, but rather sees them as opportunities to grow.

Infection control procedures including environmental hygiene, correct work practices, and appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are all necessary to prevent infections such as COVID-19 from spreading in our facility. Prompt detection and effective triage and isolation of potentially infectious residents is essential to prevent unnecessary exposures among residents, team members, and visitors at the facility.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Facilitating successful physical plant operations by performing repairs and maintenance (plumbing, masonry, carpentry painting, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, etc.)
Executing resident maintenance work orders
Following and executing preventative maintenance schedule and tasks
Ensuring strict adherence to fire and hazardous chemical procedures and promptly addressing all unsafe conditions or equipment repair
Arranging for and managing contracted repairs, maintenance and construction services
Maintaining compliance with all state regulatory requirement regarding maintenance
Conducting and recording routine fire evacuation drills and inspecting fire and emergency equipment
Performing floor care on an ongoing basis
Maintaining grounds and community vehicles
Ensuring that department operates within budget
Greeting residents, visitors and staff courteously, respecting individual dignity, rights and confidentiality, and delivering exceptional customer service

Ability to perform and coordinate emergency building repairs
Experience working on electrical and plumbing projects
Working knowledge of construction-related repairs
Ability to service and inspect HVAC and emergency generator systems
Ability to train other staff members on operations of emergency system
Flexible schedule
Valid driver’s license
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with other
High School diploma or GED
