The Wall Protection Installer is responsible for the installation of wall protection systems and architectural specialty products in various commercial, healthcare, educational, and institutional settings. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications, preparing installation surfaces and materials, and installing wall protection products such as wall panels, corner guards, handrails, and crash rails while ensuring all work meets quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Measures, cuts, and adheres sheet/rolled-type wall protection panels to fit in and around specific spaces such as doors, windows, electrical outlets, casework, and lighting fixtures and other furniture/materials.
Installation of wall protection materials to drywall and other substrates.
Prepares/primes substrates with manufacturer approved primers and other materials
Uses trim or caulk to conceal edges, per plans/direction
Lays out, drills, and installs/mounts corner guards, handrail, crash rail, and guardrails. Training will be provided.
Opportunity to expand training to other specialty products including but not limited to Fire Protection, Toilet Room Accessories, Visual Display Units.
Coordinate and manage site and material logistics on commercial job sites, as directed.
Performs other related construction duties as assigned.
