We are seeking 2 - 3 experienced and highly motivated Lab Technicians to join our team as an extraction and refinement specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and isolating target compounds from crude botanical materials.
This position includes preparing and taking samples, conducting laboratory tests, and accurately recording and reporting data. You will also be tasked with operating, monitoring, and maintaining specialized extraction laboratory equipment. Ensuring our manufacturing processes are efficient and consistently meet high quality standards is key. This role requires physical stamina, keen attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment while strictly complying with all health and safety regulations.
Core Responsibilities
1. Equipment Management: Safely operate, monitor, maintain, and clean laboratory extraction equipment, ranging from basic lab tools to complex automated processing systems.
2. Data and Reporting: Accurately record all processing data and test results. Analyze and interpret operational data to generate routine production reports.
3. Laboratory Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sterile, and highly organized workspace. Ensure all activities strictly comply with health, safety, and regulatory protocols.
4. Collaboration: Work alongside and communicate effectively with co-workers and management to meet operational and production goals.
Key Qualifications
1. Experience: Prior experience in botanical extraction, chemical processing, or a related high-volume laboratory environment is highly preferred. We are looking for someone who understands the fundamentals of isolating compounds from crude materials.
2. Physical and Manual Dexterity: Ability to stand for prolonged periods, safely lift heavy objects (up to 60 lbs), and perform repetitive physical tasks.
3. Attention to Detail: Crucial for spotting product defects, monitoring sensitive equipment, and ensuring quality control.
4. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and handle issues, such as equipment malfunctions, swiftly to minimize production disruption.
5. Teamwork and Communication: Strong ability to work collaboratively with a team and follow detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs).
6. Flexibility: Willingness to pivot to different tasks and adapt to changing daily production requirements.
7. Basic Education: High school diploma or GED required. Basic math skills and strong reading comprehension are a must for handling formulas and safety data sheets.
