The Human Resources Department is looking for an detail orientated ,eager, self-driven, energetic, team player to join the Arapahoe County team located in Littleton, Colorado. This position has the ability to create new processes, analyses and change the way things are done. This is a great opportunity for someone entering the Human Resource field or for someone that has been in Human Resources and finds this work the most rewarding. By serving the constituents of Arapahoe County, assisting in the filling of vacant positions. The Recruiter also initiates the on boarding process, coordinating background checks, physical capabilities testing, scheduling of orientations, facilitating orientation, and verifies paperwork. This position also serves as the department timekeeper, supports HR systems and performs other duties as assigned.
Anticipated hiring range: $17.93 to $22.42 per hour.

Is a strategic thinker that sees effects of their work and looks to create more effective ways to operate.
Builds relationships with all Departments and Offices; responsive to requests and proactively provides support.
May conduct some phone screens.
May initiate personnel action forms (PAFs).
Conducts new employee orientation, collects and verifies new hire paperwork.
Answers internal and external applicant inquiries; refers to other inquiries to/from HR staff members as appropriate.
Responds to employment verifications.
Serves as department security coordinator.
Serves as department's time administrator.
Assists with years of service awards and ceremony.
Updates employment records.
Updates tracking systems for applicant's statuses during hiring process.
Maintains NeoGov application database. Draft, Screen and close postings.
Advertise job postings on external sites, liaison regarding layouts and pricing.
Ensures the County is compliant with hiring practices and labor law.
Administrator to NeoGov accounts for system users
Process unemployment claims for the County.
Responsible for the new employee on-boarding process, creates new employee folders and files them appropriately.
Process I-9 for all new hire employees.
Runs background checks and schedules pre-employment testing to include, Physicals, drug screens, polygraphs, background checks, and capability testing and then reads results from said pre-employment screening and sends hiring manager ALL CLEAR to bring applicants onboard.
Sends all request for recruitment forms to finance for approval.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Medium to high level of proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of Neo Gov ATS desirable.
Experience working within SAP desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective management of priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to manage information in a confidential and professional manner.
One (1) to three (3) years of administrative support; or
A combination of education and experience.
Associates degree in HR, Business or a related field highly desirable.
Human Resources and/or recruiting experience.
Experience with Neogov and SAP systems.
Previous ATS system experience a plus.
This position requires successful completion of pre-employment background and motor vehicle checks.
Works under the broad direction of the Director of Human Resources. Work assignments are in the form of areas of responsibility and are only generally defined.
Contacts are with superiors, peers, employees, subordinates, elected officials, citizens and/or vendors. Contacts require the ability to exercise a high degree of interpersonal skills to influence persons at all levels. Incumbent is accountable for the results of the contact.
Information is frequently of a technical and sensitive nature requiring a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.
This position is not exposed to unusual working conditions; occasional travel outside the office, usually to County locations.
