This sump pump features a durable, cast iron constructed switch case, motor, and pump housing with a corrosion-resistant, powder-coated epoxy finish and an engineered thermoplastic plastic base. This M53 model has an engineered glass-filled plastic impeller with a metal insert as well as a stainless steel guard and handle. Plus, there's no sheet metal parts that will rust or corrode. This sump pump is submersible and hermetically sealed with an automatic reset thermal overload protected motor. This automatic model includes a float-operated 2-pole mechanical switch. It also features cast iron upper and lower sleeve bearings running in a bath of oil as well as a carbon and ceramic shaft seal. Powered by a 3/10 hp motor, this sump pump has a 1 1/2" NPT discharge, a max flow rate of 43 GPM, and oil filled cooling. It requires a 115V electrical connection for operation.
