This listing is for one set of 3 glass candle holders from the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MMA) store. These are based on the original design from Wilber Orme. The design was from 1938 and was called “Pristine Table Architecture”. This is some background on the original design from the MMA site: “The set's building-block design is drawn from the step-back, or gradually narrowing, of the uppermost sections of skyscrapers required by law (passed in 1916) to provide for sunlight at street level. The clear geometry and regular proportions of the zigzag contours are characteristics of Art Deco. The individual pieces can be arranged creatively into different configurations.”
Each candle holder measures approximately 5 inches in length, 2 inches wide, and 5.25 inches high (at the tallest part). The opening for the candle has a diameter of approximately 1 inch and depth of about 1 inch. These candle holders are used but were primarily shelf display items and are in very good condition. There are no major chips or cracks. There are a couple of small scratches from being moved and stored. Please review all posted pictures. Pictures are of the actual item you will receive. Item comes from a smoke-free home. Feel free to ask me any questions.
