Full time Receptionist needed!

Job Summary

Participates in delivery of orthopedic care by coordinating clinical appointments with providers for patients, referring physicians and facilities.

Job Specific Skills

Essential Functions

Provide excellent customer service through all interactions as scheduling contact for clinic appointments.

Respond effectively and promptly to all patient, provider and team member requests.

Provides accurate and courteous information regarding our clinic and physicians to all callers.

Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information necessary to schedule appointments.

Maintain/Update patient information and working knowledge of insurance protocols.

Knowledge of physician preferences and schedules.

Patient outreach after receipt of primary physician referral.

Collects Copays

Insurance Verification

Other Functions:
Anticipate ways to improve patient care and experience.

Assists in the evaluation, development and effectiveness of systems and protocols.

Take incoming calls from patients and schedule as needed.

Covers co-workers and cross trains as necessary to meet the needs of the clinic.

Other duties as assigned.

Licensure and/or Education:
High School Diploma/GED.

Experience:
Medical office experience preferred.

Skills:
Knowledge of EHR system.
Type at least 50 WPM.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Some medical terminology knowledge helpful.

Attention to detail a requirement.
Must be able to spell accurately.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Ability to work well with others in a team driven environment
