Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, xray taking, and ensuring each patient receives top-quality care.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, including medical history, treatment notes, and progress reports in Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to safeguard patients and staff against cross-contamination.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards.
Works in a team environment where everyone works together to put patients and care first.
No accelerated hygiene appointments: Each patient is scheduled for an hour and new patients are scheduled for 1.5 hrs.

Experience
Proven experience (1-3 years) as a Dental Hygienist in a general dentistry setting is expected.
Familiarity with Dentrix is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of infection control procedures, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and dental coding standards.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently maintaining excellent patient rapport.
Ability to work as a team and help throughout the office
Certification/licensure as required by state law for Dental Hygienists is mandatory.
