Pay: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary: Provides care for pients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder trement.
Responsibilities:
Prepares for the arrival of the pient by setting up and preparing the equipment for the ordered test. Interviews pient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.
Performs testing and any additional testing required for sleep disorder th is noted.
Scores, interprets and reports results of sleep studies. Educes pients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources.
Prepares, calibres, repairs, and maintains equipment required for testing. Determines and reports needed repairs and replacements.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take approprie action.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Preferred: Gradue of an accredited Polysomnography or Respirory Therapy program.
Registered as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or equivalent, or Registered as a Respirory Therapist (RRT) by the Nional Board for Respirory Care (NBRC).
Ste licensure if required by law.
BLS through the American Heart Associion or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start de. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
