FTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Nights
Pay: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Provides care for pients undergoing sleep studies and sleep disorder trement.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares for the arrival of the pient by setting up and preparing the equipment for the ordered test. Interviews pient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.
- Performs testing and any additional testing required for sleep disorder th is noted.
- Scores, interprets and reports results of sleep studies. Educes pients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources.
- Prepares, calibres, repairs, and maintains equipment required for testing. Determines and reports needed repairs and replacements.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take approprie action.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Gradue of an accredited Polysomnography or Respirory Therapy program.
- Registered as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or equivalent, or Registered as a Respirory Therapist (RRT) by the Nional Board for Respirory Care (NBRC).
- Ste licensure if required by law.
- BLS through the American Heart Associion or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start de. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
