Summary:
Provides direct care for pients with implantable cardiac electronic devices (CIEDs). Aligns care with applicable scope and standards of practice with the policies, values and mission of the organizion. Provides device-clinic services across 14 locions, including monthly outreach travel to rural and multi-ste sites (CO, WY, NE), with select locions requiring overnight stays.
Responsibilities:
Performs device interrogion, remote monitoring, in-office testing, reprogramming within protocol, technical troubleshooting, pient triage, and comprehensive documention to support optimal electrophysiology care across assigned regional clinic locions and outreach sites. Documents findings.
Interprets presenting rhythm EGMs, pacing percentages, btery stus, heart-re histograms, arrhythmia/event counters, PVC trends, and stored EGMs. Evalues automed lead testing results and trends abnormalities across all vendors. Troubleshoots device da. Determines and inities required actions. Assesses loop-recorder da tailored to implant indicion. Assesses rhythm EGMs, pacing da, btery and longevity stus, histograms, event counters, and stored EGMs.
Performs manual lead testing based on underlying rhythm; recognizes and responds to loss of capture, symptomic episodes, or induced arrhythmias. Reviews lead trends and adjusts device settings within protocols. Retrieves da, performs testing, and implements protocol-based reprogramming.
Conducts specialized visits: wound checks, groin checks for leadless pacemakers, reprogramming visits, and troubleshoots remote alerts or symptoms.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take approprie action.
Requirements:
Minimum Required Educion: Gradue of an accredited or ste board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Required Licensure/Certificion: Ste licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and relevant licensure/certificion as determined position level. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Preferred: ACLS, CV-BVC Cardiac-Vascular Nursing Certificion.
Minimum experience: 2 years of RN experience in cardiac, EP, ICU/CCU, ch lab, or reled specialty.
