Piñon firewood is an excellent choice for fireplaces, stoves, pizza ovens, and outdoor firepits/fireplaces. Although technically a softwood, piñon burns hotter and longer than most softwoods and is often referred to as a hardwood as it is harder, more dense, and has a higher BTU than the average softwood. This firewood burns very hot and has a pleasant aroma. Average length: 15-16"
