The 3" maximum limb capacity will require a 25hp-30hp tractor equipped with either a 540rpm or 1000rpm
PTO and a 3pt hitch. Of course smaller branches will consume a less horse power requirement and a smaller tractor can be used with limited results.
This chipper goes for about $2800-$3800 new retail (prices vary depending on the dealer) and has been found for a range of $1000 to $1900 at the used implement dealers and auction settlement sheets.
It's ready to go to work. The PTO shaft is in excellent condition, but will need to be calibrated to your tractor. The fly wheel, bearings and chipper knives are in excellent shape as well.
It.s currently configured with a CAT I hitch set up.
I have used this chipper for years with no issues. My community has adopted a very aggressive fire mitigation plan consisting of a community slash and burn pile operated by the local fire department open 24/7 to residents. I no longer have the need to process my own slash, so it's time for the chipper to go to a new home.
