Straightforward and easy to ride bitless or in a snaffle, bareback or in a saddle. Not a good lead-line pony or for packing tiny or timid kids, as he can be forward and likes to be independent. He will tolerate the occasional pony ride, but does not enjoy doing it as his main job.
Goes down the trail or rides in the arena calmly in a group or by himself, walk-trot-canter with a comfortable stride. He is a level-headed guy with very little spook.
His ideal rider is an intermediate kiddo or small adult who wants a fun buddy to play around with and a sense of humor - he does have pony sass and is not above dragging a kiddo to that one patch of grass or sticking his head up to get bridled!
He loves attention and kids, happy to be groomed by five at once, climbed on, flipped off of. I've had kids take turns messing around on him bareback in a halter for hours.
Was hoping to lease out, but had some life circumstances change and now need to sell. 3k OBO.
