Constructed with 2x3 studs, the roof features 5/8" plywood with a low pitch (plenty of ventilation on top to avoid frostbite on their combs), while the floor is made of 1/2" plywood topped with vinyl flooring for easy maintenance and to prevent rot, despite having been treated with a natural, animal-safe solution. It includes nails, exterior decking screws, and wood glue in certain areas, along with heavy duty oversized hinges for added durability. The outside consists of 5/8" t1-11siding and 5/8" tongue and groove pine, among other materials. All wood will be finished in a barn wood color, using a natural, animal-safe treatment. This treatment is currently turning into it's color as it needs the elements. At this time I do not paint my coops. This is a sturdy construction, not a temporary coop. We raise our own chickens and created this based on what we find useful. This is designed for the deep litter technique, and the door is prepared for the automatic run chicken door (door is not included). $1,400, feel free to text or email me if you’re interested.
