crosses. The International Yak Association was dissolved in January 2025 so we are now selling our yaks and their offspring as unregistered. These yaks are an incredible buy for quality, high fiber and regularly handled yaks. Pricing varies depending on age and sex. Unless you plan on showing yaks in competition events across the US, there is not a good reason to buy registered yaks. Unfounded claims that registered yaks will bring a better price at resale haven't been proven to be true. Our high quality unregistered yaks will meet the agriculture requirements to reduce your taxes, are beautiful to look at, produce high quality fiber and they can be handled. Best to buy what you need and ignore any sales hype and misinformation being presented. We are happy to share information and answer questions about owning yaks to help a buyer determine if they are the right animal for them.
