Highlands Ranch Metro District is seeking qualified candidates for the Engineering Technician II position in the Public Works Engineering Department. This position will work in a team environment to help manage the design, construction and administration of various projects associated with infrastructure serving the residents of Highlands Ranch. Responsibilities include data entry, data compilation, and analysis for ongoing contract work, projects or Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Experience with the preparation and updating of project schedules and GIS is desirable. This position will also support the Senior Contract Administrator and Project Managers, working with our Finance staff on project budgets, payments and provide internal cost tracking when necessary.
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. An Associate’s Degree or two years of additional training in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, construction management or related field are required. Working knowledge of computer programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the ability to learn and use other engineering related computer software and tools including ArcGIS and AutoCAD is required.
