condition: fair
Round, leather-top hardwood living room table or salon table. Style is neo-classical English style inspired by the designs of the English furniture maker Hepplewhite (also sometimes spelled "Heppelwhite"). Decorative escutcheon or filigree strip around the margin of the leather top. Brass caps on the bottoms of the legs, with freely-turning high-quality brass casters (wheels) in very good condition. Needs some minor re-glueing and repair (shown candidly in photos; all problem areas shown). Stored indoors disassembled for decades. Lightly re-assembled for photos (all joints would show more tight appearance after final assembly). Refinish for full restoration, use as is, or improve by polishing). Only the curved skirt components are plywood, other components appear to be high quality hardwood with fine grain. Legs attach to curved skirt pieces by means of dowels (all present), curved skirt pieces attach to round top by screws (all present). Diameter is 34”, height is 16-1/2” .
