Like new condition as it was essentially never used…it sat in an untouched loft for a couple of years but nothing was ever placed on the table.
You deserve better than VENEER! Don’t be fooled by similar-looking tables that are advertised for $75 to $200…those table are “engineered” wood (i.e., fake/faux) with a supposedly wood-like look veneer covering cheap particle board. The problem with veneers is if it is too thin or applied improperly, the veneer can bubble or peel over time. Additionally, since wood veneers are not coated with surface polish, it's easier for liquids to be absorbed into the wood layer and cause damage.
This table features solid wood top and lower shelf. Of course, if bringing lower-end faux wood into your living space isn’t an issue, then obviously don’t pay the real wood premium and buy cheap! But real wood radiates a natural aesthetic and warmth that can’t be duplicated by the fake stuff!
Have a look at the foto of the underneath. It illustrates the reinforced solid-wood construction.
A comparable table sells for over $2,200 (see last foto). I’ve marked mine down to less than half of that to sell quickly. (Moving and need to seriously downsize.)
