Beautiful authentic 130 year old piece. Wonderful patina has way more personality than modern distressed knockoff. 70lbs of solid wood so there is nothing you (or your kids/grandkids) can do to hurt it. Just keeps getting better with age. If you want to pass it on, then sell it for what you paid, or more. Try that with a new particle board bookcase.
This was a built-in hutch from an early Denver home. Wide boards and square cut nails date this to the 1890's. With the doors on or off, this has a great look to it. That tree was growing during the Civil War.
