I built these boxes for fellow students at my massage school, days before it permanently closed. They were to be used for manual therapy-- manipulating a seated client. As they are 12" x 15" x 18", they provide a variety of seating heights for the therapist or client.
They are constructed out of rabbeted 7/16" plywood, glued and nailed, nail holes filled, carefully sanded and corners rounded over, and sealed with multiple coats of a water-based polyurethane. They are sturdy, light, durable, and easily moved.
They could be used as stools, end tables, structural support for portable benches, plinths or stands for artwork, apple boxes for photography or movie production, plyometric, plyo, or jump box, crossfit, ...
