Ceiling Electrical, junction-box rated for extra weight of fan.
Run 12g or 14g Romex from existing ceiling light, to desired location on ceiling. Either mount or skip electrical junction box.
Wiring is usually done below the ceiling, then shoved into 1 junction box, 2 canopy, or 3 ceiling -not code approved -just quick n neat.
Easy to connect 12g wires w push connect wago nuts.
Wire twist nuts are still used -Trouble is all those wires are twisted together and then you can't shove twisted 🥨 wires up to fasten canopy.
Gets more complicated if you want a wall switch.
If you cannot reach the ceiling Fan pull chain,
then you need a remote control or a wall switch.
