ZEAL IS A SCRATCH TO TABLE RESTAURANT OFFERING A WHOLE FOOD MENU OF CREATIVE FOOD MADE WITH SUSTAINABLY SOURCED INGREDIENTS. OUR MISSION IS TO USE ORGANIC AND LOCALLY SOURCED WHENEVER POSSIBLE. OUR OPEN KITCHEN REFLECTS OUR INTEGRITY OF TRANSPARANCY AS WE WELCOME ALL TYPES OF EATERS, INCLUDING THOSE WITH SPECIFIC NUTRITIONAL DESIRES AND RESTRICTIONS.

WE ARE SEEKING A NEW TEAM MEMBER THAT CAN ASSUME THE POSITION OF LEAD LINE COOK.

JOB SUMMARY: WE ARE LOOKING FOR A CANDIDATE THAT IS CAREER MINDED, AND PASSIONATE ABOUT IMPROVING THEIR CULINARY SKILLS. POSITION REQUIRES AT LEAST 1 YEAR IN A HIGH-VOLUME ENVIRONMENT. MUST HAVE GOOD KNIFE SKILLS, AND MUST BE ABLE TO FOLLOW RECIPES AS THEY ARE DISTRIBUTED. A WILLINGNESS TO LEARN A NEW SKILL AND TECHNIQUE GOES A LONG WAY!

REQUIREMENTS:

BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF HEALTHY EATING CONCEPTS AND UNDERSTANDING OF DIETARY NEEDS, INCLUDING VEGAN, GLUTEN FREE, PALEO, RAW, AND DAIRY FREE.

A DESIRE TO CREATE DELICIOUS, NOURISHING FOOD INCORPORATING THESE RESTRICTIONS

HAS STRONG KNIFE SKILLS

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WELL UNDER HIGH-VOLUME SITUATIONS, TO INCLUDE CURB-SIDE AS WELL AS DINE IN SCENARIOS.

HAVE THE WILLINGNESS TO FOLLOW DIRECTION FROM THE CHEF IN CHARGE.

MUST BE A TEAM PLAYER.

MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT CASES OF FOOD AT LEAST 50LB

HAS AN UNDERSTANDING OF FOOD SAFETY GUIDELINES AND PROPER FOOD HANDELING TECHNIQUES.
