About Us
New York Deli News is a busy, fast-paced deli serving classic NY deli fare to a loyal customer base. We’re looking for a reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen team.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook menu items to recipe and quality standards
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation
• Follow food safety and handling procedures at all times
• Work efficiently during peak rush periods
• Communicate with kitchen staff and management on inventory and prep needs
• Restock and rotate stock following FIFO procedures
Qualifications
• Prior line cook or kitchen experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and food safety practices
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Full availability, including weekends and holidays
• Bilingual a plus
Compensation & Schedule
• $22–$23/hour, based on experience
• Full-time position
• Full availability required
