For generations, families have been eating, meeting, and coming back for more. We’re a close-knit, family-run restaurant since 1979 and we take real pride in what comes out of our kitchen. We’re looking for a Kitchen Manager who leads from the line, owns the food program, and takes genuine pride in running a great kitchen. This is a hands-on role — you’ll keep a close eye on quality, operations, and your team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Lead, direct, and develop line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers — set the standard and hold the team to it.
• Own food quality and presentation on every plate going out — if it’s not right, it doesn’t leave the window.
• Uphold our high quality kitchen standards — our food is made from scratch and we take that seriously.
• Drive the daily specials program from start to finish: plan what’s running, oversee prep, and make sure both BOH and FOH know exactly what’s on and how to talk about it.
• Be ready to cook on the line when needed — you know your way around every station and can jump in wherever the team needs you.
• Manage food inventory for the whole restaurant — place orders on schedule, receive and check in deliveries, and close any gaps before they become problems.
• Keep health, safety, and sanitation standards front and center every single shift.
• Handle equipment issues and communicate anything that needs attention to the GM.
• Train new team members and bring consistent, positive energy to the kitchen.
• Keep the GM informed — you’re the eyes and ears of the kitchen; they act on what you report.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• Solid kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume setting — diner or breakfast background is a big plus.
• Knowledge of Greek food and cuisine is sevastos.
• Strong line cooking skills and the ability to cook and manage at the same time.
• A natural communicator who stays calm under pressure and brings good energy to the team.
• ServSafe certified, or committed to completing it within your first 90 days.
• Comfortable with computers and online tools — ordering is done online and you’ll use costing tools to help manage food costs.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
• Comfortable with the physical demands of a kitchen environment — our storeroom is in the basement, so lifting and stair climbing are part of the daily routine.
• Weekend availability is a must — our busiest shifts are Saturday and Sunday.
• You want to be part of something, not just show up for a paycheck. We’re a small family business and we take care of the people who take care of us.
To apply, send us a brief note about your background and why this role is a fit. We look forward to hearing from you.
