Epicurean Catering, Colorado's Premier catering company is seeking a pastry chef to join the culinary team at our production kitchen.

Required Skills & Qualifications : Assistant Pastry Chef
Minimum of 4 years of working experience in baking and pastry production
Ability to take direction and communicate openly with manager
Completes required tasks within assigned time frame
Ability to work under pressure
Must be flexible with work schedules
Specific Job Duties : Assistant Pastry Chef
Maintain exceptional production knowledge and attention to detail
Produces items involves tempering chocolates and sugar works
Assembles plated dessert items and finish decorating
Oversee daily production of the pastry team making sure the quality and quantity is produced to specification
Maintain supervisory in the absence of the pastry trainer
Demonstrate technical knife skills and volume cutting
Recipe and menu development and also updating pastry recipes
Must be required to perform the same requirements and job duties as a pastry cook 1-2 levels.
Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner while practicing safety standards and organization skills
Label all food items for food safety and shelf life standard - FIFO
Maintain daily and weekly cleaning and organizing dry storage and walk in cooler areas
Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and clean all equipment in kitchen
Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the chefs
Participate in daily recovery procedure
Assist in monthly inventories
Supporting off premise events department
