Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IR technologist to perform high quality interventional procedures with a strong commitment to pient care and adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety. Our facility includes nine procedure rooms designed to support a broad-spectrum of IR interventional procedures including but not limited to:
Central Venous Cheter Placements
Thoracentesis
Extremity venograms and arteriograms
Thrombectomies
Spinal arteriograms
Embolizion procedures
Drain placements
Cerebral arteriograms
Stroke interventions and neuro embolizion
Yttrium-90 radioembolizion
Chemoembolizion
Supports/Assists imaging, diagnostic and interventional procedures to diagnose and tre cardiac and/or vascular conditions in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organizion.
Responsibilities:
Prepares pients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the pient, preparing procedural/testing sites and administering contrast media and/or medicions within scope of practice.
Assists physicians with performing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac and/or vascular interventional procedures. Supports/assists reled imaging procedures. Take approprie action to resolve image quality issues.
Inform pients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding. Seeks assistance reled to pient condition changes in stus.
Prepare equipment and supplies. Selects approprie exposure factors and imaging parameters. Apply radiion safety standards and report equipment malfunctions.
Within scope of job, it requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take approprie action.
Requirements:
Minimum Required Educion: High School diploma or GED or gradue of a certifice, license or degree granting program, or post-secondary educional program in a health science or Gradue of an accredited Radiologic Technologist ARRT (R) program or Cardiac Technologist program.
ARRT preferred.
Minimum Experience: Preferred.
BLS through the American Heart Associion or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start de. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
