The University of Colorado is looking for people who would like to stop or reduce drinking for a medication research study. The purpose of this research study is to determine if the study medication, Apremilast (OTEZLA®), decreases craving for alcohol and helps people with Alcohol Use Disorder to reduce drinking.
Main Inclusion Criteria:
- Age 21 or older
- Drink regularly and meet criteria for Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)
- Seeking treatment to cut down or quit drinking
You will have seven study visits over about 9 weeks, including a screening visit, weekly study visits at CU Anschutz for 6 weeks, and a follow-up phone call about two weeks after the last study visit.
