Highly regarded tube headphone amp AND preamp. I used it strictly as a preamp...reference level in some regards. One of the top rated headphone amps too! Supposably one of the best headphone amps for the Grado line of headphones.
JA from Stereophile used one of these units as his reference preamp for quite awhile.
The SHA-1 got many excellent reviews. Very highly thought of.
I had a new upgraded TKD volume control installed. Huge improvement in overall sound quality.
Uses (2) 6DJ8/6922/7308 family of tubes and responds to tube rolling like a champ.
I'll include a brand new matched pair of NOS Soviet Military 6H23N "Rocket Logo" tubes with the sale. These are INCREDIBLE sounding tubes. One of the best I tried in this unit...and not cheap.
