The 5R13 tube is equivalent to the 5R4 rectifier, which is compatible with other rectifiers like the 5Y3, 5U4, and 5AR4/GZ34. The box shows 5U4G but it is a 5R13. ALWAYS check specifications for your amp to ensure proper compatibility in your circuit. The 5R13 tube is highly regarded for its sound quality.

I’ve actually used it in my ST-70 Dynaco clone amp as a rectifier and have enjoyed differences in bass response, and overall warmth. It plays rock and roll really well and it looks killer in your amp too…if you’re into that kind of thing;-)
