Synergistic S53 Tower speakers - UPGRADED all NEW drivers - $200 (Castle Rock)

For sale: A pair of vintage Synergistic S53 tower speakers that havee been substantially upgraded. Original owner since 1981. They were made by Synergistics Maybern Company in Cleveland, Ohio. They have walnut veneer tops and bottoms with a velcro wrap-around enclosure. All-in-all, the speakers are in excellent condition for being 45-ish years old.
The original towers had:
* 8" woofer
* 10" passive radiator
* 2" cone tweeters on front and 2" cone tweeters on the sides (1 per side)
Orig response: 40-18kHz
Crossovers at 50Hz and 2.5Hz
all @ 8ohms
Since upgrading them to current technology, the speakers are way more efficient and sound crisp and clean:
