The Goddard School in the Highlands is currently seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator for one of our preschool classrooms.
We have three teachers in each of our classrooms, so this is a co-teaching position, working with two other teachers and twenty-four students. We truly value this three-teacher model as it allows our teachers the flexibility to plan their own breaks and lunches. It also allows our faculty to have time out of the classroom to work on lesson planning or even just go to the restroom when they need to. Having three consistent teachers in the classroom creates consistency for our students and flexibility for our faculty.
At the Goddard School in the Highlands, we care deeply about our teachers and want the best for them. We want our staff to have a loving, fun, and supportive environment, a place they truly love to come to work. We have high expectations our teachers but will do whatever we can to support them. We maintain an open-door policy with all faculty and encourage everyone to come to us with questions, or for help and support. We believe this two-way communication between faculty and administration is vital to creating a strong, united team within our school. We promote career growth and long-term commit to our students and to each other. We are looking for patient and passionate teachers with a strong ambition to be the best teacher possible.
To further support our faculty, we also provide:
We have incredibly low teacher turnover and rarely have teaching positions open at our school. This position is open because one of our teachers was recently promoted to be a second director within the school.
We have a contract with a licensed Behavioral Analyst to support our faculty with any developmental or behavioral needs in the classroom.
We have three curriculum support teachers available to assist with lesson planning ideas or any other curriculum related questions.
Three teacher teams in each classroom
Paid lesson planning time during school hours
We conduct 90 day and annual reviews with all faculty members. This is a way to provide two-way feedback about employee performance as well as give feedback on the school operations.
Paid training hours and opportunities for continuing education, including admission to the annual Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Convention (RMECC)
