GENERAL OVERVIEW:
☆☆☆☆ This dependable truck is in rare mechanical shape for its age and price.
With all the known specifics, below (we believe in a lot of specifics for a buyer), if you know your trucks, you'll know that this is a find.
This is an old -but cared for, and very well-maintained Truck that runs great and has no known debilitating issues.
We are the second owners: First was my Brother’s Company, then my Brother who then sold it to us.
The truck has never been in an accident or had body repairs. When my Brother’s company owned it, someone stole -of all things, the driver’s door and nothing else!
This great truck will always need TLC, but it is highly dependable and fun to drive. These trucks -of these years, are fantastic. It has been our back-up for years. Cosmetically it is old and needs paint, one small dent popped out, and one small and one bad rust spot needing repair, but it is not beaten up by any means.
Kindly note: we did just reduce the price down by $400 because, whereas the wipers work, they sometimes do not shut off and probably need a new switch.
We hope that it will be adopted by someone who will maintain it and even improve it, maybe even increase its value, rather than drive it into the ground.
It will not be sold if it is likely to be abused.

OUR COMMENTS:
The truck runs like a charm and has absolutely no known critical issues. It is driven regularly -it is not stored.
The truck is a pleasure to drive and is easily maintained.
The replacement engine's oil -after the initial engine change flush-through, has been changed with Full Synthetic -for older vehicles, about every ~4k miles. This vehicle does not burn oil. It does have expected -but slight, age leaks and oil usage. It passes emissions with no issues.
****Kindly Note for the Knowing Buyer: We have not cleaned the engine or undercarriage; so, the new owner can observe everything about the normal mechanical working conditions.
The Tires are excellent.
***Also Note: The fuel tank has never allowed to go below 1/4 tank to protect the fuel pump.
All the Glass is good.
The Radio does not work (never has for us).
The AC does not work (When we stopped wasting refrigerant on the leak, the compressor did work just fine, but the system still leaked -do not know if the compressor still works.
The driver’s inside door handle padding is gone, and we use flexible nyla-braid tubing for a handle (In all these years, we never got to the junk yard to get a replacement, because the tubing does its job).
The heater and defroster are great.
The dash functions work.
Driver’s side seat belt has always been frayed at the retractor level.
Brakes are fine.
It has a split-designed front bench seat with extended cab seat/storage. The upholstery and interior are excellent except for the driver’s seat which has some minor lower tears and an extensive "butt-side" blown-out (torn up after years of use -we just place a towel over the seat).
The body has a subtle passenger-side extended cab panel dent that needs to be popped out, and it has a minor and a very bad exterior rust spot in front of the driver’s door -each behind the front tires on both sides. We were going to just replace the driver's Has new parts. quarter panel with new one (easy to get and replace). There is no other excessive rust on the rest of the vehicle (ie: normal for its age and its full life in our dry Colorado location).
The truck could really use a paint job. The paint is just age-faded, with no real flaking or pit-rusting. The paint clear-coat is almost all gone (in the right light looks a bit like it is molting), and parts of the roof are showing primer or metal surface. A good buffing would do it wonders, but a paint job would fundamentally change it. Presently, it is okay for us, caring more about its great driving and mechanical health than its looks.
There is a bed-liner that is very functional.
There are no known suspension issues.
Tight, rebuilt front end *.
There is a totally function towing receiver and new 7-pin socket.
The exhaust system is excellent.
The transmission is excellent.
This truck has a very long life ahead of it, maybe "forever", if the right person gets their capable hands on it…….
This is a smooth driving truck, and a good-old friend.
Kind Regards
