1 Ton 1971 3 door suburban with 1973 454, TH350 tranny, NP205 w/PTO knockout and Ramsey winch, dana 60 w/truetrac, 14 bolt w/clutched and spring pack Eaton posie to act more like a real locker w/out driveshaft play. Was planning on adding a second transfer case so axles were gears w/4:11s. This was built to go anywhere so it's not meant to be looked at, it's meant to be used. If you're looking for something to enjoy looking at you should keep browsing. That is unless you have a body you want to use (to much work for me). Frame is in great shape. Skip to the cons if you want to know what needs fixed. Photos are not current. It's just not in a spot where I can get good pictures right now. Pictures of pto/wench are not this vehicle just to show they were a factory option in the day.

Price is firm and not set for haggling so if it's not something you can deal with please move on. A lot of time and money was dumped into this thing over the last 20+ years. I just don't have the time for it anymore and the wife is tired of looking at it. Front axle alone is worth more than the asking price alone. I will add things I missed as I remember them.


-Motor was originally built by renowned master engine builder and has about 40 miles on it (see cons for current issues).
-1 Ton axles w/locker have about 5,000 mile on them.
-PTO knockout (rare) and Ramsey winch.
-Hot rod headers w/flowmaster mufflers.
-New high flow Electric fuel pump.
-New 1 ton breaks (rear was left as monster drums for towing).
-Brand new set of AutoMeter gauges to match original (speedo and gas left original but still match new set).
-New gear reduced starter.
-New 120 amp alternator.
-A lot of the original wiring harness has been replaced including 2 AWG power and ignition run around the vehicle for electric fans, lights wenches, etc. Relays were use takes large power load off the original switches for lights, horn, etc.
-Monster 2 stage electric fan with cut switch for river crossings.
-4" lift, new springs Pro comp nitro shocks and bushings all around.
-40 gal gas tank.
-Ram air style intake that was going to turn into a snorkel.
-Nice steel 16" wheels.
-CD player w/6" coaxial speakers (4).
-Have original seats but currently the front bech seat was move to the middle and it has bucket seats in the front.


-Engine was originally built with flat tapped cams and was not used with zinc treated oil which caused the lobes to wear down slightly and not fully open. It still ran like a dream but I made the mistake of paying someone to install new cam and rollers but shortly after break-in it developed a knock and was parked due to lack time and money.
-Body is in about the roughest shape you could possibly imagine but was meant to be that way so when you plow into a tree or rock no tender feelings are exposed, just added character.
-PTO and winch are not installed yet and missing some of the carrier bearing mounts. Planned on tucking winch in bumper so would be custom anyway.
