Young by miles: I bought this Forester eight years old, with a fresh engine service at 90k miles including improved head gaskets, timing belt, water pump & thermostat, idlers, etc. Struts were replaced at 92k miles. In the 12 years since I've kept it garaged, driven it lightly (less than 4,000 miles per year), and performed regular oil changes and pampering. Based on miles and condition, it starts, runs and handles like a six-year-old Subaru.
Condition: EVERYTHING works as it was designed to; no deferred maintenance. It's a very reliable daily driver that gets 25-30mpg with a light foot, is Subaru-secure on snow and ice, has never been smoked in and the passenger and rear seats almost never sat in. Clean. Really clean. It needs nothing except a new owner.
