Selling my 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 2 door coupe. 260 V8. 3 speed manual with overdrive (that works!) Car was built in Kansas City and has been a Colorado car for its entire life. I am the fourth owner and have owned this car for the last 12 years. I love this car but I really don't have the time to give it the attention its deserves.
Mechanically this car is almost perfect. Engine was rebuilt in 2014, has about 12k miles on the rebuild. Leakdown is 5% or less on all cylinders. Runs perfect. Shifts perfect, car is really fun to drive with the overdrive, its a unique experience.
I have replaced shocks, upper and lower ball joints, lower control arms, generator, radiator, hoses, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, and many other miscellaneous parts and pieces. Headliner is new
All 4 brake cylinders are rebuilt, all the drum hardware has been replaced, new shoes, master cylinder is new. Tires have about 12k miles on them, lots of life left.
The bad: The front bench needs to be reupholstered/replaced. Carpet is fairly worn but still looks pretty good. There is rust on the lower part of each front fender (this is a very common place on this car). I have patched the drivers side. Car really needs new paint, although it shines up nicely. There are some various dings here and there but nothing serious.
I have a new driver side quarter panel, spare NOS lower control arm for the right front, and a secret audio head unit that I never got around to installing. All come with the car in addition to any other spares I have in the garage including a quart of rangoon red paint and clearcoat.
