*We can meet to show the car in the Riverpoint Target parking lot off Santa Fe and 285.**
We're selling our 2009 Kia Optima EX. It has 68,310 miles and is in very good condition.
The car was purchased new by my father-in-law (in Texas) and gifted to us in 2021, so we can provide full maintenance records. It has been regularly maintenance and well-maintained.
The engine and mechanical components run very well. There are a few cosmetic issues, pictured (minor paint bubbling on the top of each side mirror and missing trim over the top of the rear driver side door; we priced repairing the trim with a Kia dealer about 3 years ago, and were quoted $500, so we opted against it).
The only issue is an electrical one that has been diagnosed as an overloaded circuit that causes some of the fuses to short. The issue: 1) prevents the automatic locks from functioning when the car is turned off (they do function when the car is on); and 2) prevents the interior lights from functioning until the car is turned on. We had a car shop fix this issue two years ago, but within a week the problem had returned, so we opted against another repair attempt.
It's a fairly straightforward electrical problem that could be addressed by someone who's handy; we just haven't opted to do so
