I’ve owned this Mustang for about 20 years. Lately, I just don’t find myself driving it much, and I’d rather see it go to someone who will get more use out of it and enjoy it regularly instead of it sitting in my garage. It runs and drives well, has a strong 302 V8, and has been updated for performance and safety while keeping the classic look and feel.
- Engine: Rebuilt 302 V8 (installed ~10 years ago, originally from a ’74 Ford pickup)
- Transmission: C4 3-speed Automatic
- Brakes: Upgraded to front disc brakes for safer stopping
- Suspension: Refreshed & performance-tuned, sits slightly lower than stock for better handling
- Exhaust: Flowmaster system with electric cutouts after the headers (controlled by switch under dash)
- Interior: Completely redone soon after I bought the car (seats, carpets, panels, audio); still in excellent shape overall. Seats are from late-60’s Mustang and have higher back for safety, and I’ve added 3-point seatbelts.
- Exterior: Repainted in the 1990s by prior owner, still presentable but with some rust around the wheel wells, small dings/peeling, and a more noticeable dent in the driver-side rear quarter panel from a parking lot hit (cosmetic only, car drives fine)
Like most vintage cars, it has some quirks:
- Front left turn signal not working
- Turn signals don’t cancel automatically
- Horn operates by floor switch instead of wheel
- Driver door stop bent
- Other minor cosmetic or functional issues
None of these prevent it from being a fun driver, and most issues should be easy to fix.
