Spent around $5500 having the whole front end gone through at Excel Diesel – yes, I have the receipts.
I have owned the vehicle last 5-7 years and it has been a solid truck for me, but I no longer need this much of a workhorse of a truck and it is just sitting (which is why the battery's are currently disconnected in the pics).
I would use this truck as a daily commuter if my drives were longer as it is a very comfortable ride, but diesels were not meant for 10 minute commutes – so I use my other vehicle for that.
It starts quick, runs easy and does NOT burn oil or roll coal – never had any issues passing Colorado emissions.
The next maintenance I was planning was going to be replacing the shocks.
Truck does have a small, extremely slow oil leak along edge of oil pan, but it is tiny and has been non-impacting.
The one cosmetic issue is that a rock kicked up from a semi went through front of the passenger side dual cowling. Will cost around $350 for a replacement cowling and I will take that cost off whatever price we agree to.
I have two new dual wheel well liners, new liner plugs/fasteners, and new fish-eye light brackets.
