Its time for the beast to hit the market. I am getting old and have found myself to like softer rides. So lets talk about this incredibly high priced old sack of international powered delight.
It's easier to state what I have not replaced in the truck than what I have. I haven't replaced 1 alternator, the fuel system from the tank to the motor, battery terminals (hard to find ones like the ones that are on it), and the tuner. That's it.
Let get into the trucks history and what all I have done. The motor was pulled from a 2000 Excursion. The original motor was fried by the previous owner racing it and running propane. I had Bodacious Diesel build the new motor at 214k miles.
Motor build:

STD crank bearing set
STD rod bearings
All gaskets done
Exhaust up pipes
Left and right valve cover gaskets with harness
Glow plugs

All cylinders bored and sleeved
Deck block leveled
Crank, cam, and rods all ok for re-use
Cams and crank polished
Injector cups replaced
Exhaust seats all replaced
Complete valve job with performance comp springs
Lifters
De-lipped pistons
Cryo froze engine to relieve stress points
Balanced engine rotating assembly
T-stat and housing

Batteries
Mishimoto Intercooler, radiator, coolant reservoir, and charge pipes

AC system (complete replacement all parts)
Master cylinder and booster
Garret Hypermaxx T-38 turbo (replaced about 5k miles before rebuild)
Riffraff diesel intake air heater delete
Engine harness
Engine fan and clutch
All hoses
Power steering
Hydroboost
Rest of the underside:
Rough country 4 inch lift all around
V2 monotube upgraded shocks (dual shocks in the front)
Rough country steering stabilizer
All new steering hardware (tie rods, ball joints etc., even one spindle pax side)
Detroit axle calipers, rotors, and pads (note: one parking brake hardware is missing because wrong part was sent, have not replaced)
ATS stage 3 4R100 performance transmission (billet input shaft and torque converter, ATS deep pan, ATS co-pilot torque converter lock-up controller).
Front driveshaft
Rearmost u-joint on rear driveshaft
Front and rear ring and pinion - 3.73-1 ratio
All axle seals and bearings

Front diff cover upgrade
5" exhaust from downpipes
Other parts replaced:
Headlights
Running lights on roof
Fender flares
Tow hitch
Cup holder
Hood latch
Grill
5% tint all windows, 25% tint on the windshield (I think, might be 75%)
Other features:
Tow electronic brake control
Edge performance chip
Turbo timer
Kill switch
Remote start and lock/unlock with alarm system
New deck, speakers, amp and subs (subs and amp are optional for pickup)
I am sure I missed something, but you should get the idea.
Things I planned on working on in the near future:
Custom tune (the old tune doesn't always work great with the new transmission and gears, it tends to shift into final gear a little too early if you aren't stomping on the pedal, and it tends not to want to shift out of that gear when rpm's get a little low)
Replace bumpers, they suck.
Cons of the truck:
Interior and exterior are tired. There isn't any bad rust, and the interior is in relatively good shape. But it is 25 years old and is getting tired.
It rides rough, that is just the way it is. New suspension helped, but its still stiff.
Tires have maybe a year or 2 of life left on them.
In summary, this is a hell of a truck. I have spent a ton of time and money bringing it back to life after the previous owner abused her and scammed me in the sale. Is it perfect? No. If it was the price would be quite a lot higher. As is, I am probably 50k into the build so I consider this a hell of a deal. This is a 25 year old truck but it has a brand new heart. Under the hood is a monster and its ready to put a smile on your face for the next 25 years. I tried to build it right and leave no weak points between the motor and the wheels. I spared no expense and I hope you can appreciate that. Am I flexible on the price? You will have to see, but if you come at me with some 20k offer I will politely decline. I am not desperate to sell. Motivated buyers are welcome to test drive. Will come with a fresh oil and filter change. I will have the truck detailed once it gets back from shop.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions, I do have videos I can share via e-mail or text.
