2004 Mercury Mountaineer Premier Edition. 126k miles. $1,400 or best offer. I have driven this car roughly 50-75 miles a week for the last year or so, but now have to drive much farther and need an upgrade. It needs some work to be a reliable long distance driver, but for short trips, occasional driving, or as a car to work on, this is a good low mileage car for a 2004. Below is an up front description of what I know is wrong, which is why the price is quite low. Make an offer, I am looking to sell in the next week.
The body has some cosmetic issues, a broken light fixture in the back I have tried to show in the pictures, and the back panel where the mercury logo is has fallen off (I can update that picture if you would like), no sun visors (about $40 to replace and I never got around to it). The interior is in okay condition, but shows typical wear for a 14 yr old car. Not a smoker, no funky smells.
Additionally, I think it will need brakes in the next few months depending on how often it is driven. It also may need something done with the front alignment (it drives ok, but makes a distinct noise if it is driving on the highway). The "ABS" light occasionally comes on.
The car does have some nice options, rear A/C/heat, bluetooth, am/fm/cd/dvd, leather seats, sunroof, power everything. Tires have at least 20k miles left on them.
If you need something for rush hour traffic every day for 20 miles each way, it's probably not ideal. If you need something for around town, or want to put some work into a car and flip it for more money, it may be for you.
