I have a 1957 Willy's Jeep CJ-6 for sale. It has a clean title and is currently registered as a horseless carriage in Colorado. It could also be registered as a collector vehicle depending on your desired use. For completeness it is registered as a 1954 Willy's. This was the case when I acquired it ~2 years ago. The research I have done on the serial number/VIN suggests it is actually a 1957. This is not an issue I just wanted to highlight what I know.
I purchased it ~2 years ago. The previous owner had done quite a bit of work on the vehicle. What I know of what he did is listed below. Overall it is in really good condition. I have replaced the battery and it starts right up every time. It does not have power steering or brakes. It is a great off road vehicle as is, or is a great starting platform for an even better off road build. It has great dimensions for an off road build. The extra 20" in length over the CJ-5 provides considerable stability. Can also be driven in town and would be a fun show car.
Notes from previous owner.
