Senior Move Manager & Transition Specialist
Are you a master of organization with a heart for helping others? Our local Senior Move Management firm is looking for compassionate, detail-oriented individuals to help our clients navigate the emotional and physical journey of "right-sizing" their lives. This isn't just about moving boxes; it’s about curated transitions, preserving memories, and creating a sense of "home" from day one.
The Role
As a Transition Specialist, you are part professional organizer, part project coordinator, and part supportive companion. You will work closely with seniors (primarily women) to help them curate their belongings, manage the logistics of a move, and meticulously set up their new residence so it feels familiar and functional.
Key Responsibilities
• Curated Downsizing: Guide clients through the delicate process of decluttering and deciding what to keep, gift, or donate.
• Spatial Organization: Unpack and "stage" the new home, ensuring kitchens, closets, and living areas are organized for safety and aesthetic comfort.
• White-Glove Packing: Provide meticulous care for fragile heirlooms and personal treasures.
• Client Advocacy: Offer a calm, patient presence during what can be a stressful time for seniors and their families.
Who You Are
• Naturally Organized: You have an eye for detail and enjoy creating order out of chaos.
• Empathetic & Patient: You understand that you aren't just moving "stuff"—you are moving a lifetime of memories.
• Communicative: You possess the "soft skills" to comfort anxious clients and keep families informed.
• Reliable: You have a professional demeanor and a supportive, non-intimidating presence.
Requirements
• Experience: Backgrounds in professional organizing, caregiving, interior decorating, or social work are highly valued.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs repetitively and remain active throughout the day.
• Logistics: Must have a reliable vehicle and a text-capable smartphone. Be willing and able to drive a van.
• Clearance: Ability to pass a background check (MVR, drug, and criminal) as required by our insurance. Willing to abide by NASMM code of ethics.
• Availability: 20–40 hours per week (Monday–Saturday).
Why Join Us?
• Meaningful Work: See the immediate, positive impact of your work on a senior’s quality of life.
• Growth Potential: We are looking for future leaders!
Promotion opportunities are available for those who show exceptional initiative.
• Flexible Schedule: Full and part-time positions available in the Metro area.
• Why it’s Different: At the end of the day, you’re not just moving things –you’re helping someone through a major life change.
It’s physical work, but it’s also meaningful work.
