Gorgeous Glass Paperweights - Joan Reep and Brian Maytum
1- Beautiful contemporary silver art glass paperweight signed by artist Joan Reep from Boulder Colorado. She was most well known as a glass artist, with "silver glass" being her signature glass.
Her work was shown in many Denver Art Museum exhibitions. The Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, NY, acquired two of her silver glass vessels in 2010 for their permanent glass collection. Joan, her studio, and her work are featured in the coffee table book, "Women Working in Glass". Joan is also listed in the Washington National Archives. Joan's glass blowing career spanned over 30 years. Sadly, Joan Reep passed in 2017.
It measures 3.5" in diameter x 1.75" tall. Asking $75 if sold separately.
2- Wonderfully iridescent vintage frosted and clear paperweight signed by artist Brian Maytum and dated 1986. He is another well known glass artist from Boulder CO. Basically self-taught, he received a degree in art from the University of Colorado.
Shown extensively throughout the United States, Brian's work has also received worldwide recognition. Among the prestigious museums and galleries to have displayed his glass are New York's Corning Museum of Glass, the Habitat Galleries in Michigan, the Bergstrom-Mahler Paperweight Museum in Wisconsin and Japan's Hokaido Museum.
It measures 3" in diameter and is really colorful in a sunny window. Asking $40 if sold separately.
Both pieces are in perfect condition and have no flaws. We will sell both as a bundle for $100. Local Denver/Thornton CO pick up. Shipping and PayPal are available. We will consider all offers.
