I have a rare LEATHERMAN Big Letter PST Personal Survival Tool with Japan* on the Blade REG'D TM 1325473. The Leatherman PST Pocket Survival Tool from the 1980's is a vintage collectible made in Japan*. This unique model features the large Leatherman letters on the front and is crafted with stainless steel for durability. With a blade length under 2.76 inches and 10 different tools including Bottle Opener, Can Opener, File, Knife, Phillips Screwdriver, Small Screwdriver, Wire Cutter, NeedleNose Pliers, Large Screwdriver, Awl, Reamer, Ruler (Inches only), this versatile multi-tool is perfect for camping and hiking adventures. The corrosion-resistant design and original belt-looped brown leather sheath make it a practical and stylish addition to any outdoor enthusiast's gear collection. Excellent condition. $125
*Sales of the Leatherman PST Personal Survival Tool grew very rapidly after its introduction in 1983. They outstripped the production capacity of the initial Leatherman Tool Group facility in Portland OR, so some had to be manufactured with parts made in Japan. All these tools have "LEATHERMAN" stamped in much larger letters on the handles. They all have the original awl with ragged mill marks, pliers that are squared at the base, and handles with rules marked only in inches (metric markings were added in the early 1990s). Based on tool details and handle markings, it appears that the Big Letter PSTs were sold in parallel with the first Pocket Survival Tool and the small-letter PST, throughout the mid- and late-1980s.
