Ceramic chest with lid measures 5-1/2" x 3" x3" and is is in lovely condition. The basket is a beige/yellow, with the lid open and possibly it could hold trinkets. Am certain it's never been used as a planter. It is covered with fruits, leaves and flowers and there are no chips or fleabites that I see. There is a small split where the lid attaches to the basket, but no breakage. It is a heavy piece with no hallmark on the bottom. It looks very much like the McCoy flower and apple cookie jar #5604, which is why I think it may be McCoy. There is the number 5604 engraved on the bottom.
