This listing is ONLY for the MOTOR and NOT for the BOAT!
This a very nice motor that has been taken care of and that has 40+/- hours on it. I am going to wash it up as soon as the weather turns into spring up here in Grand Lake, Colorado. Carburetor has always been run dry at the end of every season and the tank treated with Sta-Bil; the start of every new season gets the fuel tank dosed with a canister of Sea Foam. Cowling and upper and lower units are scuff, scratch, and blemish free. Unknown manufacture date, but I prefer these old-school style Mercs that make your fishing boat or inflatable boat look bad ass, especially in the short-shaft version.
Manual pull start, that fires right up every time. Manual tilt with a nice rear-cowling handle so that the motor is not hard to get out of the water. Locks down nicely for lake running or trailering. Three-blade aluminum propeller churns the water nicely and the torqued gearcase gets your boat on plane easily. This was on a 187-pound SmokerCraft aluminum deep-v Alaskan model boat. It has a 6-gallon fuel tank, which comes with it, but it will troll all day while fishing on less than three gallons. At low throttle, it is barely audible as it quietly purrs like a contented kitten lapping milk; goose it, however, and it roars to life like a cougar on a hunger chase.
New MSRP $3,795, if you can find one in this soon-to-be supply-chain cluster-fusche repeat of 2020.
If your hull heft or payload weight require it, we can help you select the proper replacement propeller for the one that comes with this sale.
No shipping whatsoever, period. The item is for pickup in Grand Lake, Colorado.
