This raft and motor has been used both for rivers w/o the motor using the new oars and in lakes using the motor, a 3.5 HP Nissan. The raft is a bucket boat and can be used on rapids up to a 3 rating. The value is in the motor and the oars although the raft has been used on the Roaring Fork, Rio Grande and Colorado Rivers in the last several years. One day trip on the river today with a guide would cost $700+ so even w/o the motor, a days float would more than pay for itself when compared to a guided trip.
